Requirements and restrictions for the School of Social Work
In addition to submitting a complete application for admission, transfer applicants to the School of Social Work should also review the following information regarding special application requirements and admission restrictions.
- Students interested in majoring in social work must apply as pre-social work majors and must complete pre-professional courses before applying for admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program as social work majors.
- Applicants to the B.S.W. program must meet certain grade point requirements, have volunteer experience, demonstrate a strong commitment to the profession, and be emotionally and professionally prepared to deal with clients.
