Occasionally an applicant runs into a question that just doesn’t fit into the information covered in print or online. When that happens to you, you may find yourself looking for an expert – otherwise known as an admissions counselor.

Freshman Admissions Counselors

If you’re applying for freshman admission, you can use our Counselor Finder to locate the freshman admissions counselor assigned to your high school.

Freshman applicants in Texas can also meet with admissions counselors during high school visits or at college fairs and events. Students in the Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas can also visit our regional Admissions Centers for assistance.

Transfer Admissions Counselors

If you’re a prospective transfer student and you’d like to get in touch with a transfer admissions counselor, please see the Transfer Assistance page for options.

Transfer applicants can also meet with transfer admissions counselors on a drop-in basis in the Office of Admissions located in Room 7 of the Main Building (the Tower) during regular office hours. No appointment is necessary, although you may have to wait a few minutes if the counselors are busy with another applicant when you arrive.
