Visit the Freshman Admissions Center On Campus
The Freshman Admissions Center (FAC) should be on any prospective student’s list of places to stop when visiting the UT Austin campus. Admissions counselors conduct daily information sessions (Monday through Friday) for prospective students and their families—providing the inside scoop about the university, admissions, on-campus housing and financial aid. Information sessions are followed by a Q&A session with current UT students and a campus walking tour. Please see our Campus Visits page for more information or to schedule a visit.
Where to Find Us
The Freshman Admissions Center is in John Hargis Hall on the southeast side of the UT Austin campus next to the Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center. Located on the southeast corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Red River, the center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with the exception of university holidays).
Renovations

The Freshman Admissions Center will be undergoing both internal and external renovations beginning in mid-August 2008. External renovations will begin first, followed about three months later with the beginning of internal renovations.
The renovations are not expected to affect day-to-day operations or to impact any planned information sessions or events. Please contact the office if you have questions.
