Art
The Blanton Museum of Art offers K-12 programs and tours year-round.
Other Events
Lifelong Learning, the Performing Arts Center’s education program, offers year-round informal settings to meet and learn from our visiting artists. Events such as post-performance Q&A's, workshops, master classes, lecture demonstrations, community potlucks and youth performances are available for K-12 students, adults and seniors, and occur on the UT campus as well as at community centers around Austin.

RTF Media Camps
The RTF Media Camps, run by the Department of Radio-Television-Film, are for 7th – 12th graders interested in digital animation and filmmaking. Ages and dates vary per camp.

Texas Student Television
Texas Student Television, the student television station at The University of Texas, offers news and production camps/workshops for middle and high school students. Students will learn all about TV news, or how to produce an entertainment program or music video show.

Architecture
The Summer Academy in Architecture is an intensive program that provides unique insights into both an architectural education and the architectural profession. The Academy is geared toward people who have little-to-no background in architecture and who wish to test and refine their interests in the field.

Business
The McCombs School of Business is offering High School Student Summer Programs for socially or economically disadvantaged high school students or students who will be the first members of their families to attend college. The programs are for students interested in pursuing a career in the business field.

Engineering
- YOU@UT is a one-day event for high school senior women interested in math, science or engineering. The program provides an opportunity to explore your interests through sessions (tours, presentations, and activities), learn about UT and the majors offered by the Cockrell School of Engineering, and learn about UT's admission application, housing and scholarship processes. Program is held on September 28, 2008.
- Careers in Engineering for Women (CEW) is a weeklong summer camp for middle school girls designed to increase the representation of women in engineering and technical fields.
- Encounter with Engineering is a two day-event for high school women from the Central Texas area who want to learn more about engineering.
- Consider Every Option (CEO) is a hands-on multi-day camp that exposes high school women to the exciting field of engineering. Students may choose to attend any one or more of the five topic–focused days. Camp is from June 9-13, 2009.
- WE@UT with the Honors Colloquium is a program held for high school senior women interested in math, science or engineering who are invited to the Honors Colloquium. Students will be introduced to a variety of engineering studies and career options, and be exposed to female engineering role models. Program is on July 22-23, 2009.
- Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day) is a program for 1st – 8th grade girls where they will have the opportunity to do grade-specific, hands-on activities, meet students, professors and engineers in the industry and see what it’s like to be an engineer. Girl Day is on February 21, 2009.
Geosciences
GeoFORCE Texas is a summer program that rewards outstanding South Texas and Houston students from grades 8-12 with the chance to travel the country, meet inspiring people, and learn about opportunities for careers in the geosciences.
Natural Sciences
- Expanding Your Horizons is a program for 6th – 8th grades girls who will spend the day participating in fun-filled, hands-on workshops led by professional women who have careers in math, science, engineering and technology fields. Program held on March 29, 2008
- First Bytes is an award winning outreach program designed especially for high school women who want a “taste” of computer science through “hands-on” experience. Program held on July 20 – July 26, 2008.
- Science Olympiad is a competition for central Texas middle and high school students to qualify for the national Science Olympiad competition. Tournament held on February 16, 2008.
- Young Scientists is a program that engages the interest of AISD children from underrepresented groups to pursue science as an academic or professional pursuit. Outreach provides mentoring, field trips, community involvement summer camps, and hands-on science activities.
- Saturday Morning Math Group is an outreach program aimed at junior high and high school students, their teachers, and their parents. The group meets about four times per semester on Saturday mornings.
- The Austin Math Circle is a math and problem-solving club for students in the Austin area. Each month, the club unites for an in-depth exploration of a topic from algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics, probability, or logic.

UT Global Ethics and Conflict Resolution
The UT Global Ethics and Conflict Resolution Symposium is an exciting symposium exploring conflict and discovering effective resolution at all levels, from the personal to the international. Come on June 15-28, or come for either week, June 15-21 or 22-28. Events and speakers are different each week.

The Division of Recreational Sports provides a variety of youth camps open to the community, including Soccer Camp, Lacrosse Camp, and Ultimate Disc Camp. Ages and dates vary per camp.
Summer Sports School
The Summer Sports School program, held by the Department of Kinesiology & Heath Education, offers a unique experience for both children and adults in the Austin area. Ages and dates vary per camp.

Other Learning Opportunities
K-16 Education Center
The K-16 Education Center, a Division of Continuing Education at The University of Texas at Austin, offers various programs that allow students the flexibility to work outside the traditional physical and temporal educational environments.
Programs offered:
- K-16 Curriculum: A web-based high school which allows students to work at their own pace. Courses written and instructed by Texas-certified teachers.
- Lucha Program: LUCHA (Language Learners at the University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Hispanic Achievement) is an innovative K-16 Education Center initiative designed to help Hispanic English Language Learners transition into public schools, thereby helping them to achieve success in school, college, and life.
- Migrant Program: Migrant Student Graduation Enhancement Program is to help Texas migrant students graduate from high school by providing opportunities to earn credit at any time and any place.
- UT High School: UT High School offers a state-approved educational alternative to students who want to earn a high school diploma and need, or prefer, the flexibility of distance education to complete their course work.
Young Writer’s Camp
The Heart of Texas Writing Project at The University of Texas at Austin offers summer writing camp opportunities. Ages and dates vary per camp.
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Abrakadoodle®, Remarkable Art Education!, in partnership with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will be hosting 18 special half-day and full-day camp options for children ages 3-5 and 6-12, as well as one camp for 8 to 14 year olds for Summer 2008! Children will get a chance to experience hands-on learning and fun, while learning about artists of all kinds and their techniques during all special art and nature camps. Dates vary per camp.
