Requirements and restrictions for the College of Pharmacy
Transfer applicants interested in a career as a pharmacist should review the following information regarding special application requirements and admission restrictions.
Pharm.D. Application
In addition to submitting a complete application for transfer admission, transfer applicants to the Pharm.D. program in the College of Pharmacy must also complete the online Pharm.D. Application.

February 1 Deadline
To be considered for admission to the Pharm.D. program, applicants must submit their ApplyTexas Application for Transfer Admission, their Pharm.D. application, and all items needed to complete both applications by the February 1 deadline.
Prerequisite Coursework Requirement for Transfer Applicants
To be considered for admission to the Pharm.D. program, an applicant must have completed all prerequisite courses by August 15 of the year in which they plan to enroll.
Only students admitted to the program may take courses in the professional sequence.
Additional Details about Admission to the Pharm.D. Program
- Fall only admission: Newly admitted students to the Pharm.D. program must begin their studies in a fall semester. Applications are not accepted for the summer or spring semester.
- Evaluation: Applicants to the Pharm.D. program are evaluated on overall academic performance, including achievement test (PCAT) scores and knowledge of and experience in the profession of pharmacy as well as conduct consistent with that of a pharmacist.
