In addition to submitting a complete application for admission, transfer applicants to the School of Nursing should also review the following information regarding special application requirements and admission restrictions.

  • Students admitted to the School of Nursing must begin as pre-nursing majors in a sequence of pre-professional courses, which must be successfully completed before a student may apply for admission into the Upper Division Professional Sequence in Nursing.
  • Applications to the professional sequence are evaluated based on overall academic performance, with particular focus on science courses and evidence of commitment to the profession.
