Housing contract Expiration Date
Your housing contract includes an expiration date that is usually 10 days after the date on which it is sent to you.
- The Division of Housing and Food must receive your signed contract and your advance payment by the expiration date in order for you to remain on the housing waitlist.
- Your expiration date is an arrival deadline, not a postmark deadline.
- If your signed contract and your advance payment do not arrive in the Division of Housing and Food by the expiration date, your contract will be cancelled.
Cancelled Contracts
If your contract and payment do not arrive by the expiration date, your name will be removed from the housing waitlist when your contract is cancelled.
If your contract is cancelled, log in to your My Housing page to reactivate your application. Contact the Division of Housing and Food at housing@austin.utexas.edu or at 512-471-3136 with any questions about your cancelled contract.
