Applying for international admission as a First-Time College Student
You should apply for international undergraduate admission as a first-time college student if you meet the following criteria:
- You are not a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
- You have never been enrolled in a postsecondary institution since completing your secondary education (that is, since earning the equivalent of a U.S. high school education).
- You are interested in seeking a bachelor’s degree.
If you enrolled at another college or university after graduating from high school, you should apply for international transfer admission instead of first-time admission.
If you have attended the University of Texas at Austin in the past and are interested in returning to your studies, you should apply for readmission as a former UT student.
