Admission to Summer Freshman Class
Each year, hundreds of freshman applicants who could not be admitted to the fall semester because of limited space are admitted to the university as members of the Summer Freshman Class (SFC).
Some Summer Freshman Class students are disappointed to learn that they weren’t admitted to the fall. But spending a summer on campus can ease the transition to college life and give students an advantage when the freshman class arrives in the fall. Almost all Summer Freshman Class students report a highly positive summer experience.
If you’re offered admission to the Summer Freshman Class, we hope you’ll consider the benefits of participating and read some of the frequently-asked questions about the program.
